Overzicht

Verken het echte oude Dubai met je gids en leer meer over de geschiedenis en de unieke architectuur in de oude stad van Dubai.
Ik zal je de unieke kant van het oude Dubai laten zien, beginnend bij het Al Seef-gebied, het prachtige gebied in het oude Dubai met veel winkels en restaurants naar het Al Fahidi-district en de oudste huizen van Dubai verkennen. We leren ook meer over de dubai-valuta door gratis toegang tot het Coins-museum. Je zult enige kennis hebben over de Emirati-levensstijl door een bezoek te brengen aan het oudste museum van Dubai "Dubai museum". Daarna passeren we het Koffiemuseum met informatie over de Arabische koffie. Daarna gaan we door het Arabian Tea House, het beroemde restaurant dat de lokale gerechten biedt.
We zullen de 3 typische Souks "Markt" in Dubai bezoeken, namelijk Grand Souk, Spice Souk en Gold Souk.
We steken over naar de andere kant van het oude Dubai via de traditionele boottocht "Abra" naar de specerijen- en goudmarkt, een van de grootste markten ter wereld.

Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood

De traditionele levensstijl die in Dubai heerste van het midden van de 19e eeuw tot de jaren 1970, wordt weerspiegeld in de Al-Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, waar gebouwen met hoge luchttorens (Barajeel), gebouwd met traditionele bouwmaterialen zoals steen, gips, teak, sandelhout, bladeren en palmhout zijn naast elkaar uitgelijnd, gescheiden door steegjes, paden en openbare pleinen, die de wijk een natuurlijke en mooie diversiteit geven. Dit district speelde door zijn strategische ligging aan de Dubai Creek (Khor Dubai) een belangrijke rol in het beheer van Dubai en het organiseren van zijn handelsbetrekkingen in het buitenland. I was on my own for this tour as the others had cancelled due to the heat..so it was basically a private tour.

This is an amazing tour. Mahmoud was very knowledgeable and informative about the history of Dubai. I was able to ask questions and take photots at every sight we stopped at.

He was also very patient when I was shopping (which I done a lot of)
I would definitely recommend.

We booked this tour today with Mahmoud who was our guide! Mahmoud was informative and knowledgeable tour guide. He did a great tour explaining very well his history and showed us the different angles of old dubai! The food was great specially The SHAWARMA. Mahmoud accompanied us too through the different Markets and gave us tips to how to negotiate. The coins museum was very interested for us to know more about the history of the coins. Abdalla was a great guide - he was very attentive to every single participant and made sure everyone felt comfortable. He was very knowledgeable not only about the historical facts of the city but also the current trends. He was also very funny and his humor made the trip even more enjoyable- time passed so quickly!
And hear the addition of the other people from the group. I loved it, that he individualized the trip based on our interests he would wait long and some places and skip other places that we were not interested in besides that we never felt like somebody would rip us off, and I loved the whole experience.

Our tour guide Mahmoud was very knowledgeable and the tour was really good value for money in terms of what you got and duration.

Would have like a little bit more info about the fort but information about Dubai and the general UEA was really interesting!
